Most mommas remember to book the maternity and newborn sessions. These are precious moments that last a very very short time. We want to bottle up the brief time with beautiful photos that last forever.

But what about all the big milestones that happen after your newborn session? By the time those milestones are taking place, it’s too late to capture them beautifully with professional photos!

The Milestone Collective is the perfect way to make sure all the sweetest milestones are captured as you watch your baby grow from bump to toddler!

FAQs about the Milestone Collective

1. When should I book?

If you want to include a maternity session as part of your collective sessions, you should reach out to me in your second trimester. I like to book maternity sessions around 30 – 32 weeks. But we can do a maternity session as late in pregnancy as you’d like.
If you’d like to skip your maternity session, or you’ve already had your baby, reach out right away to schedule your newborn session! I book a very limited amount of newborn sessions each month so that I leave room for flexibility in case that date would need to move. Unless you’ve already had your baby, newborn sessions are scheduled tentatively about a week after your estimated due date.

2. What’s included?

You get 3-4 full length sessions within a 16 months of your first session. Most mommas use the sessions to capture maternity, newborn, and then two big milestones. These usually consist of a sitter session between 6-9 months and a birthday session at 1 year. This is completely customizable to what fits your family best!
These sessions include your whole family! The reason I include the whole family in these sessions is because your relationship with your baby will change tremendously over the year! You go from cradling a big baby bump to snuggling a sleepy babe to tickling your giggling 9 month old to throwing your 1 year old in the air. Your older kiddos are changing too! I love to utilize those milestone sessions to capture the changes in ALL your kids!
Professional hair and makeup is included for one session of your choice. You always have the option to add it on to any of the others. My HMUA is absolutely incredible and makes you look and feel your best. She can either come to your house or you can meet her at the studio.
The use of my client wardrobe is included for all of your sessions. I have a carefully curated (and ever-growing) client wardrobe for mommas, babies and children. I’ve hand picked items that are flattering, complementary, and photograph beautifully. This takes the stress of guesswork and shopping totally off your plate. Plus it means you get to show up to your session in your comfies!
For each of your sessions, you’ll have a styling and planning meeting. This is when we’ll pick out beautiful outfits from my client wardrobe and plan for your session based on your vision!
Each session comes with a photo reveal and ordering appointment as well! This is when you’ll see your photos for the first time and decide what mediums you’d like to have your images in. We’ll view gallery wall designs, pick all the details for your albums, etc.
There are some financial perks too! You will have access to discounted digital files after each of your sessions! You also receive 10% off your framed wall art, as well as 10% off my most popular collection options.

3. Why should I book the Milestone Collective vs. the Bump to Baby Collective?

Listen, they are both great options! I’m happy to have you either way! But there are definitely some great reasons to go ahead and book the Milestone Collective.
I already mentioned the extra, fun savings you get with the Milestone Collective. But this is why I always tell mommas that if you even think you may want a family session sometime in the first year of your baby’s life, go with the Milestone Collective. It saves you money in the end, but it also eases your mind knowing you’ll have important milestone sessions booked well in advance!
I cannot overstate the benefit of having your children build a relationship with me over time! Their comfort level increases with every session, which means we get better and better photos each time!
You get to choose your milestones! Sometimes mommas like to capture multiple milestones at once. For example, maybe your newborn will be 6 months around the same time your older child is turning 3. What a great way to capture both of those big milestones at the same time!
